Futurama

The episode of Futurama that ran tonight involved lots of old video game references.  One of the old game characters said "All your base are belong to us".  I know this is the name of an old Mac app, and someone here uses it for a name. Will anyone explain the reference to me. Please excuse my ignorance.

"All your base are belong to us" is a reference to the extremely poorly translated introduction to the game Zero Wing, for the Sega Megadrive. This was an actual line in the translation. More information (plenty) is available at this source.
