These are called the do (chest protector) and sode (shoulder armour).... it opens like a clamshell and has shoulder buckles as well. The lower lames cover down to about mid thigh...

A bunch of pieces here, on the left and right are koke, meaning arm guards, made of chain and plate, the top is a haidate covers down to a bit past the knees, ties at the waist and around the back of the thighs.

The lower pieces are suneate, and cover the shins and knee caps...

and what EM forgets to mention is the powermac in the lower pic. is used to protect you from the various scary and hideous wintrolls that oft come by at night. The way it work is to open the 'door' of the powermac and inside leave a warez copy of windows and then you may goto sleep with no fear. In the morning you will find the door closed automagically and inside you will hear kicking and grunting noises of a very flumoxed wintroll. You then empty the trash (your powermac should already have been turned on) and viola! WinTrollBeGone(tm)!.

Evil Merlin

Sun Jun 16 19:51:45 2002

When I loose another 5-10 pounds.

Even at my current 5' 9" and 175 lbs I am considerably larger than most samurai. The damn do is about 2" too small for me. But I'm working on it.

Back semi on topic:
In the BF, you mentioned pix of your katanas and wakizashis, but declined to show them. Since OSY isn't as uptight, I'd be interested to see them, as well as info you'd care to post. As I understand it the katana is the long sword and the wakizashi is the short sword? I assume the katana was the primary fighting sword, but I have no idea what the other would be for. Enlighten me, please. :)

And, also since OSY isn't so uptight, how much for the G3?

Tue Jun 18 02:35:41 2002

You're in luck actually because he wants to sell the G3. God knows why the RDF does't effect EM. As soon as I got close to an Apple store I felt the RDF flow over me like a nice warm blanket. The cold chill as I got further away from the store made me desire to return to that warmth as soon as possible. Hence I ran back into the store, begged them to accept me as one of them, hugged a few clerks, especially the women, and then walked out with my own personal RDF-radiator(tm).

Since then I have been a happy delluded mac user.

The End.

See, there are still fairy tales in real life.

It's like morphine, in that regard.

Don't tell me you hugged the fat chick in the "Switch" ad.

Know what beer goggles are? Well you see RDF is like such. It distorts everything to look good that is related to apple. What YOU see is a fat chic, what I see with RDF enabled eyes is beauty beyond the grasp of a poet's word.

Okay that is an utter lie.

No i did not hug her, but i damn made sure i touched the fine asses i could find.

I upgraded the last Mac I actually owned to have a full 1 MB of RAM.  I think I escaped the scene before the RDF leaked out of Cupertino and infected the greater community of Macolytes.  All the same, I can feel the pull from time to time (Until Steve starts talking about servers).

Yes it is still up for sale.

$450 and it goes to a nice loving home. Since it's you guys, I will pay for shipping, as long as it is not to east bum fuck canada. It's almost all original except for the 620 MB of ram, the 14.5 GB hdd. Oh yeah and OS X. I have the CD's for the OS too...

As for pictures of my blades... I will take some tonight  (if I remember and if it is not raining out).

It's quite nice to get a machine and just have to plug it in and install an OS.

Sometimes I forget to buy stuff for my new computers... I hate that.

True, but I have a lot of older drives and RAM sitting around.

Wed Jun 19 17:47:21 2002

Aye, and since it's my First Mac Evah! I didn't want to have to buy ram/drives for it. Cause only God knows if I'll enjoy it.. Well, at least I'll learn something from it, and that's it's primary mission.

DeAthe, I will have to admit, MacOS X can be a good OS, you just gotta hammer it to be so... I could only imagine how good it could have been on x86 with a real interface.
