Star Trek - The Movie - Directors cut. - new scenes, new special effects.  i dont think that needs more info
Blow - Sad movie based on a true story on a drug dealer whos gonna sit in jail until 2015. Johnny Depp as usual great
Good Morning Vietnam - old and good. a classic.
Natural Born Killers - 150 changes undone that were required by the american movie nazi agency. interestingly, this one has NO subtitles at all.

DVD's still not made:
Star Trek 2 - Wrath of Khan - Directors Cut
Dune - Directors Cut. - Yes, David Lynchs Dune. Fuckers still have 6 to 8 hours of unused material.

Did anyone watch that Dune remake miniseries on the Sci-Fi channel/Space Network?

I tried watching a bit, but it just went on too long.

I wish someone would make a Dune remake that was just someone playing Dune 2.  That would be funny.

I got a tape from a texan friend and then watched it on Space.

I think it was quite nicely done. When I saw the movie (when it came out, in the theater) I missed the first 7 minutes. Having not read the books first, you can understand how lost I was :)

Oh, and I have the VCDs too :)

Ahh, Usual Suspects. Greatness. Has anyone seen Apocalypse Now: Redux?

Yeah, I have apoc redux. It's great.

And I got the dune miniseries as well.
Was not that bad, except of course it lacked the dark David Lynch feel and good special effects.

Is Paul supposed to be as big a whiney bitch-boy in the book as he is in the miniseries? Through most of the thing I just wanted to smack him and say "shutup you whiney ass bitch-boy!"

Other than that it wasn't awful I suppose.

Wife and I actually just picked up Harry Potter on DVD.

Not a bad movie. Still cannot find the cut scenes and shit like that...

I think we are going to pick up Star Trek and Buffy:2 today.

It's a fucking game. Those idiots hid them behind a long ass game that's like running through the movie.

First, on the second disc, you've got to go to the first "scene" it will let you go to. The alley I think. Then you've got to "tap" the bricks in a circle like in the movie. Then I think you go to the bank, then you've got to get a wand and stuff, then go to class, mess around or something, go to the third floor, and when you find the stone, you get to see the delteted scenes. It would be massively less shite if the scenes themselves weren't crap. They're basically first take leftovers that they had to shove on disc two so that they would have something to put underthe features list. Though they did flesh out more of the scene in Snape's class, which seemed finished quality to me.

Oddly enough, I've never read the book. My girlfriend was gracious enough to figure all this out before I got back from work one day. I'd have been most displeased had I figured this out for myself. :D

Actually the VP I report to at the office lent me the 1st book after I mentioned I have never read it. I made the mistake of thinking it was a little kid book... In all actuallity while it was a low level read, it was very entertaining.... Not bad to take a break and read that in a couple of hours.

I hate books where kids star and are written for kids.

Have you read Harry Potter yet Riso?

I used to think the same thing till I read it. I am more used to reading Quantum Mechanics, or some more advanced non-fiction works, but Potter was still a damn good book.
