It's already done-- Studly-OS has been released ever since 1992. (hey.. 10 year anniversary of StudlyOS!.. hmmm..)

It's released under the SPL, the Studly Public License, which means the source code is licensed as Studly Source, which can be summed up with this phrase:

Open Mind, Open Source.   Basically, if you have an open mind, you are allowed to view the source, if you have a closed mind, you aren't.  This eliminates most Linux users.  :D
