Well SHIT, I hit enter by accident, and now cannot finish adding entries!
BTW I am the guy on the left... my student Jeff is on the right.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not pushing Jeremy for anything. OSY is free, and it's fun, I'm not going to hold the poll stuff against him at all.

Oh, and judging by that picture, he got whacked in the head real good. Notice the slight motion blur on E_M's stick.

The "pantaloons" are called hakama. You don't iron them (often), as they are supposed to have pleats in the front and back which are a type of recognition of the gods. Actually his hakama are in better shape than mine.
Yeah I wacked him good in this shot. What made it worse is he was attempting to do the same and jumped into it. This one stunned him for a few seconds.

I learn something new everyday. :) I will now never mistakenly call the 'hakama' a pantaloon (nor will I ever mistakenly iron them if I ever was fortunate enough to find a pair somewhere.)

.......in a Junior High School club. :-D
Its pretty good for developing quick reflexes. I played against young kids, which I felt was a bit harsh (if you miss the target area, it can hurt).
I wish I had time to join a club in London; one thing I don't miss is trying unsuccessfully to wipe away sweat from my eyes, sa I couldn't reach them through the metal grill in the helmet.

Wait a minute...you don't 'play' Kendo now do you? I mean, Kendo is a martial art right? You don't 'play' Karate or 'play' Tae Kwan Do. While it might seem like a game to most people, I think it's serious stuff...you don't 'play' it.

Kendo = way of the sword
For the sword related martial arts, most begin (and end) with Kenjutsu (or kenjitsu depending on the translation)
Kenjustsu = art of the sword
While Kendo does have Kata and other "martial art" stylings, it is not a true martial art, however most Kendoka (students of kendo) tend to also learn Iaido (drawing of the sword) or kenjutsu. However people that do so tend to pickup bad habits from Kendo if not careful.
