How does someone make stuff transparent in XP?

Use either Glass2K or WindowsFX from Stardock.com.

Transparency is a neat effect but you eventually discover that's it's pretty much useless and even irritating once the wow factor wears off.

No, he should only rub grease on the window in question, otherwise it'll soak into all of the windows and they'll all be transparent! :D

In addition, should you grease up a recycled window, the old ground up bits won't soak it up as well and you'll be left with a spotty screen. Nobody wants that. :D

Yeah, aren't you glad HitScan warned you? Now, you must be sure to use a good strong detergent to clean the window of grease after you're done with it.
