Like I said, the talk is something that happens.  I regret it, I try not to participate, but it happens and it isn't as bad as everyone's making it out to be.  If this was a forum hosted by someone else than Lord Baldrick and the talk was about PeterB, Evil_Merlin, Venture, seta, and the like, I garauntee you the shoe would be on the other foot.

Hell, I could drop a big fat bomb on someone (actually a few people, but only one of them are doing any complaning right now) in the BF right now about this whole issue, but I won't.  Yet. (hopefully never)

I won't because I don't think it was out of line.  And because it would violate an unspoken trust

I'm tired at the the branding we get here.  People look at a spurt of 5 or 7 threads and ignore all my yummy smamminess and make a wrongfull deduction about everyone.

Meh.

Yeah, those in question seem to be taking the whole thing out of context.  What are a few complaints about a small number of idiots compared to all teh boobies on display here?  Or the literary works?  Or the general silliness???

Madan, I wouldn't worry too much about OSY's "reputation" at ars... ars is not the be all and end all of the world, there are as many lowlife geek miscreants as in any other online forum.  ars people like to pretend that they are of an "elite" class, but the truth is that all you need to be an ars poster is an email address, just like any other forum.  

Anyway, the hostility will die down soon enough.  Don't worry about it.

Ugh, my teeth hurt from grinding them so much. My AOL client has crashed my Win 2k AND my Mac OS9 OSes and I can't log in through EITHER my lappie or my iMac(until now, with my iMac).

I've got to find a new place in a DSL area.
