Macs have no software?

Sheayah...roit!

2D graphics? X is getting PS and until then, Classic has it.

3D graphics? X has Maya. X has LW. Classic has LW.

Film editing? The best: FCP for both.

Office? If you're cheap there's free Appleworks. If not, there's Office(which is getting amazing reviews)...for both.

Web Dev? flash MX for both. CFMX for X(hurrah!). And we've finall got an apache server under the hood.

Oh yes. Berry, berry goode!

Of course I'm excited because I just received my new copy of flashMX for Mac and I *love* having Macromedia ship their flashMX(KICK ASS BOX) for both X and Classic ON THE SAME CD.

Sweeeeeeet.

All I need is a Mac and a PC so that I can run any software in the world...

Me in the same boat here with Jeremy, except its the opposite where he has PC desktop, mac laptop, and I have Mac desktop and PC laptop. (Okay the laptop isn't mine but same thing ;) )

I am blown away at the fucking transfer speed of the USB MMC reader on my Vaio laptop compared to the same thing with Mac OS 9! I can't use my USB MMC reader in  OS X :( and I hate booting into OS 9 now. Plus in OS 9, when transfering files you get these hidden files that OS 9 uses to make it quicker to get info the next time you load the disk up.

I find it almost ammusing that Jeremy finds that OS X is a lethargic on his iBook (not saying that OS X doesn't have its issues, it certainly does with certain combinations and software) while I find this Vaio Laptop with a 750mhz PIII chip lagging compared to the slower desktops at work. I'm guessing its the harddrive that is causing me to pull my hair out when the laptop slows to a crawl. THat plus the fact I'm using Windows ME. Yuck!

I need to install Win2K on this lappie!

5400 or slower hard drives suck cowballs. That's why your laptops seem sad. Because they are. :)
