Murder and/or theft are illegal, you know. ;)

i got the last one. good deal in the agora.

$162, delivered.  same as i was going to pay for a man3184... which is slightly faster, coolered by pauli at 2:28 pm on Mar. 7, 2002), quieter... but only half the size.

no warranty... as long as it lasts at least 2.5 years, i'm perfectly happy with that.

specs:

assuming 10db in a bel, 39db

and 11-37 watts dissipated

meh, next time i'll get a quiet drive :)

hmm, after double checking the stats on my cudas, that's not as loud as i was afraid of. i think that's actual operating noise, not idle noise. ah hell i'm confused. but it puts out less heat than my half height cudas!

er, wait. that's not idle/active watts. that's idle watts/btus. damn thing doesn't say how many watts when active.

bastards.

You can always make a big fast drive quieter, but you can't make a quiet drive faster or bigger.

well, it turns out that i can't even hear it idle over my fans, and reads/writes aren't as bad as i expected. and it's very fast.

:D
