Lord of the Rings screen caps

Harbinger

Wed Feb 27 00:16:15 2002

Because of my munificence and wish to share my bounty, I've made some screen caps from Lord of the Rings available here.

Here are a few inlines.  The only touchup I did was a brightness adjustment in ACDSee's photo enhancer.  Please enjoy...

The ones on that page are from the first quarter of the film.  I'll post more if you're interested.

Do you have the SVCD's?  I haven't watched them through yet, but they look beautiful.

Those are *much* nicer looking than my touched up caps. I think the ones I got are from a handheld video camera.

Yes, and if anyone needs them, just let me know. ;)

In an effort to increase my postcount while still seeming productive, I'd just like to mention that I went to see LotR in the theatre the other day... just because I could (there are some few perks to being underemployed).

But mostly, I wanted to see if I could sit through the whole thing without having to use the restroom AND while having consumed a large beverage (the $.99 7-11 Big Gulp-sized soda that the theatre sells for $3.75).

I did.

Barely.

I really need to read these books again/see this film.

But I'm lazy and I don't feel like doing it right now.

Should we set up a 'mini' OSY P2P network? That way we can share caps and whatnot?

Ehh?

And, yea, Harb, I'd like the SVCDS or AVI's if you gots the bandwidth. Cause those are much l33ter than mine.

A network would be groovy.

I wasn't thinking of caps tho' . ;)

Well, that's just one option on it.

We could get Reimer to be the main IP for it, and we could all connect disconnect at will, and let the leeching begin.... :)

Something tells me that Jeremy may object to having his home computer and personal internet connection flooded with our stuff. :D

On the other hand Jeremy, turning the FTP service in IIS on is only about a 6 click operation... heh.

I downloaded the 145meg Maya demo in almost under 6 minutes. So in other words, HELL YEAH!!!!! i'd like to download LOTR!!!!! as long as whatever server can keep pumping out at ~400kbytes per second i'm set.... w00t!

IF I could download this, i would be very giddy :)

Actually, a small p2p network with just us using it would use maybe 1-2 k per second. Or if someone wants to setup a hostcache, that is someone with a static IP.

I'm on lowly dialup, so don't count on me hosting anytime soon.

In the meantime, email me some addresses (and maybe some 80-min blank CDRs if you feel inclined ;)) and I'll be my regular generous self.

How does one "Email" someonelse CDR's?

Sorry, meant to say "mail me some blank CDRs" -- but I won't berate you for being pedantic, much like DF does.
