I need something to read about though.
pi sounds kinda interesting but its more historical stuff then anything else. Natural log e, maybe, but thats doesn't sound to mind boggling to be interesting.
I was considering going back to my favorite subject of chaos but its such a wide field. I love the concept of the butterfly effect. For those that know little or nothing about it, i'd read about it, very very cool concept.
Maybe the ratio of the surface area of spheres to its area (and its relationship to mass?). I actually started writing a paper to subit to Scientific America but forgot about it plus i needed didn't know what the ratio of the surface area to volume of sphere was.
me is bored. sucks having no life huh?

How about looking deep within yourself and answering the question once and for all, "Yes. Windows is much better than any MacOS"
:cheesy:

volume of sphere = (4/3) pi r^3
surface area of sphere = 4 pi r^2
now a search to explain why this is so and me has to bust out calculus to explain it... i'd rather do a search...
i shall bore you all with my dull ramblings...
Muahahahahaha!!!!!

at college my friends and i actually used formulas to describe women. A girl would pass by and we'd say to each other, 'hey you checked out that z=tanx*y^3/tantheta' or some bullshit. I forget the forumlas. We had one for the breasts, we had some for legs and some for the curves of the body. We knew the ratios too that would dictate the size, so we'd use that to describe to the size too and not just the shape. It was teh very ammusing because NO one would know what the hell we were going on about which meant we could be really perverted in public. Unless of course our calc professor would pass by, which he did once and his reply was: "i can't believe you guys." Keep in mind this calc professor was still quite young and had an affair with a college student and almost got married to her! He had an eye for hot college girls too and could get them because he was quite the good looking teacher. I can't remember a time when teh girls were not drooling over him!
Boy do i miss my college days! i miss my friends too.

as to HOW CAN THIS BE TRUE!!!!???
well let me see if i can word it right:
1) Its just a matter of how the use triangle pieces dictate the use of the square'ish blocks underneath.
2) the surface area of the blocks and its combination don't have the same surface area.
3) the sum of the parts in the first triangle should equal to the area of the triangle
4) but in the second the sum of the parts is less then the area of the triangle.
simpler: seperate surface area + total surface area = a whole lot of illusions...
or something like that????
huh?

AYB, ummm the slopes are the same.
1) right angle triangle
2) same height, width and hypothenuse (well the long side of teh triangle!) hence the ratio's are equal too.
Nope. :)
One triangle = 2 / 5
Other triangle = 3 / 8
2/5=.4 != 3/8=.375
Poopy.
Thu Feb 21 04:40:09 2002
But the slope is similar enough and i don't think that answers the question. I could be mistaken because there might a relationship with the slight difference in the slopes to the 'missing' cube in the second big triangle.
none the less the great poopy head is never wrong! never!!!!

Hey, Erastothenes! You've got a leak!
Who is that dood? I did a search on the internet and found out he's like some greek guy that measured the circumsicion of teh earth by walking from two cities and viola after some pizza and a few beers he came to that answer. Plus he made some sieve to dish out prime numbers because prime numbers are tastier then mozzeralla cheese!
beyond that what does this guy have to do with triangles? Me thought that was pythagoras or some such name?
eh?
me in very silly mood.
