Boy, I'm proud of myself.

I finally got my Aureal working under RedHate! The sourceforge driver that's available for a download has a few problems with the newer kernels, or with redhat, I'm not entirely sure. However, after spending a few minutes with the header file, I was able to modify the includes, and one version check problem.

/me is proud of himself...

It's the little things that mean the most. :)

Oh yea, for the record: I put red hat on here on a joke mainly, just to look at. However, after that I had to take the cdrom out of my main box and give it to a friend of mine. I also have no floppy in this puppy, so no alternative boot route. I'm not to eager to rip my cdrom out of my other box so I can put a real distro on there, therefor I'm just gonna have to use this. :(

Ain't Linux just a pip to work with? ;)

God, I despise Mandrake.  It's like a shitty little cut-price version of Windows, with no software.  It reminds me of my wretched Risc PC daze.

I mean "Yeah, I'm a rebel, whooo" but I miss Word.  And VS.NET.  And being able to burn CDs without having to do this.  And having to root around in some damn CLI whenever I need to do anything. I mean, did we lose a war?

Paul  - LOL, that made my day, thanks man. :)

Man, for something that insignificant making that sound card work made my day, guess just proves I'm a geek. ;)
