Wait until MacWorld....

AllYorBaseRBelong2Us

This is essentially the cry of the Mac Faithfull,

"Wait until..."

Well, one day I can see Apple rolling out the nessesarry products to make the Mac an appealing product across the whole product line..

This of course will happen at:

MacWorld: Hell Freezes Over

indeed.

Parse your UBB code so that the size=12 tags end after 'indeed.'

I can't make it work.

Here's the body of the code in question:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
{size=12]\}{color=red}{font=impact}MacWorld: {color=blue}Hell Freezes Over{/font}{/color}{/size}

indeed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The issue appears to be with the multiple "color" declaration without "/color"

indeed it does!

Here's how I think it should go:

MacWorld: Hell Freezes Over

indeed.

And yes, the bad parsing comes because you've opened some tags without closing them. Never do that unless you're combining them. For instance, bolding and italicizing use different UBB tags.

So:

what do you think of the thread's content?

Because of Steve Jobs' ego and spotlight-loving, Apple tends to debut products at big expos. Because these expos are staggered, but fairly often, Apple can't upgrade everything at once otherwise they'll have nothing in the bag for later.

This is why the "Power"Macs weren't touched -- they needed something in reserve for the next expo, which as far as I know is MacWorld Tokyo in mid to late February.

And I seriously doubt the whole line will be appealing at any point in the near future. Apple is too stuck on margins to really upgrade the PM's; and they have too low a marketshare for Motorola or IBM to really make a highpowered PPC implementation for them. Motorola is concerned with the embedded market; and IBM has their own PPC and POWER computers. The ultimate example of POWER/PC is, of course, POWER4.

By the way, I found out something interesting recently, AYB; but you as an (EE?) graduate probably knew this already.

Ironically IG,

Watching Fox news today on market preditions, Apple was brought up.  It was said that sales were expected to be down because of the hype going into the latest keynote.

This isn't the first time this has happened.

And I'm supposed to feel sorry for them? You know I won't.

Actually, I'll let you in on a bit of information. When Time Canada blew the scoop late Sunday, I was practically shaking with laughter; I thought it was absolutely hilarious. So much buildup and hype, busted; ruined; less than 24 hours prior to the event.

I could only imagine how angry Jobs must have been; it still makes me chortle.

If sales do go down, that'll be just yet more hot fudge on the sundae.

No chopped nuts though; I'm allergic. Mmmm...hot fudge sundae.

madan may like it because after all, he's an ifruit guerilla or sorts.

But poopy-head has been waiting to replace his trusty 9600, and has been dissapointed.

I don't like it when my poopy is upset!

Nooooooooo, if Apple fails who will be left to compete with Cyrix's running BeOS. Berix computers will become the ONLY CHOICE FOR CONSUMERS. We all know this is a very, very bad thing.

I felt a bit sorry for Apple

Until I read the "myths" ad.  Now I'm going to enjoy watching them suffer.

Perhaps it'd be easier if the rallying cry became simply, "Wait until MacWorld!" -- without ever mentioning which city, season, year, or even planet.  That way, those that use the phrase can proclaim it all year long and not worry about any potential disappointment when the anticipated fantasies (er, products) don't materialize.

Just a thought.
