As for custom icons, I'm not certain teh most direct way to go about it as I'm stuck in front of an NT 4 box all day at work. In xp though I know it's cake. You just go to the folder's poroperties, and it's in there someplace. In 98 there was a "Customize this folder" option on the context menu, but I don't remember if it did icons anymore.

Seriously try google, I'm sure it'd have a few hits. You can always get a complete IE skin from a variety of places, but, they're ghey.
