So OW, what happened with MS's lawyers

Whats up with this?

Just a side note: After my company's last stint with Microsoft lawers, I plan to move the entire office network to a combination of Linux and Mac OS X. I like windows 2000 but for now its the last windows I will invest in. I really disliked the msoft representitive's aggresion towards us and the fact they demanded to much from us. Msoft's turned into some egomanical monster that believes it can do what it wants. Ha! the underestimate the power of the dollar. The money (of the company's computer dept.) is in my hands. They lost possible sales for ~15 computers (incl. one server). Not significant for the market size of Microsoft, but enough so that a rolling stone might turn into an avalanche.

I can't go into to much detail of what happened. Sorry other then they made claims to the contrary in which we told them we will not bow down or provide anything that microsoft demanded, and if the persisted we would move to linux or some other solutions and that msoft could kiss our hairy asses.

I'm assuming that MS is trying to force you to go out of the way to prove that you are on the up-and-up with your licensing.  You don't wish to spend that effort to do their job for them, then they got huffy.

I've heard of that happening before.

It does make me a bit upset, myself.
