a) Have no credit card
b) Have never had a credit card
c) Have never bought anything online
d) Pay for everything with cash
It's wierd.
I also get spam emails from Mac websites even though I never visit any and I'm not signed up to any mailing lists.
Such are some of the many oddities in my life.

Heh. It doesn't take much work to imitate gruel. Basically, you stew in a big pot, then you get yourself slopped onto a plate and do your best to congeal and appear utterly disgusting and grey.
However, imitating Imitation Gruel is an art that no mere mortal has yet mastered; for I am unfathomable.

You said yourself there's how many eps? nearing 250 or 300? I'm willing to bet cash money that 80% of them are more or less what I posted. (because I've seen quite a bit of it here and there over the past couple years)
Do realize though, that I do not impart the same view towards yourself or your FF. (not that I've found the time yet to read it yet) And if it makes you feel better, apparently no one else found it funny either, heh. HitScan the Thread Killer. Bah.

But in the anime, there are a lot of tender scenes and episodes, particularly in the latter half of the series. One episode in the Perfect Cell saga...it was during the ten days between Mirai Trunks' fight vs. Perfect Cell and the Cell Game. Son Goku (dad) and Son Gohan (kid) had already exited the Room of Spirit and Time, and the episode centered around Son Gohan traveling to a nearby village to get things for Son Chichi (mom) so that she could finish preparing his birthday party, because that day was his 11th birthday.
There were also some very tender scenes before the Buu saga, when Son Gohan is teaching Satan Videl how to manipulate ki, and then how to practice bukujutsu (flight). This is before they fall in love, but it's a very tender scene in the anime.
There are also lots of humorous scenes and parts of the fighting: Gotenks vs. Majin Buu is a memorable fight, because of all the corny attacks that Gotenks does.
By the way, in Japanese, family names precede individual names -- the English equivalents of those names would be Goku Son, Gohan Son, Chichi Son, and Videl Satan. Just a helpful tip so that you don't get confused.

Another problem I have with the series is how stupidly some things are handled. I cannot bear to watch a single episode where Gohan is being SayajinMan (tried to spell it halfway right, but I wouldn't bet on it) because the fighting is so unbelievably stupid. Calling out attacks, the whole outfit thing, It's like an animated Power Rangers. I can't handle it.
Speaking of caling out attacks, someone has recently done a "new" Transformers series, I heard how it turned out and was nearly driven to tears. It's horrid :(

Ahh, the 'Great Saiyaman' (FUNi-adapted name) bit. My guess is that here, Toriyama was referring to, and making light of, the foolish poses done by the Ginyu Tokusentai (minor enemies from Furiza saga). They were 5 warriors (all pretty strong) who did ridiculous poses before battle, ostensibly to show how magnificent they were. It was a gag, of course, and these scenes are pretty damn funny if you get good subbed episodes.
'Great Saiyaman' is hilarious -- Gohan makes up a stupid voice, says things he never normally would, and does stupid poses, all in an effort to prevent people from finding out who he really is. The game falls apart when Satan Videl finds out anyway. In the proceedings of the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai it falls apart completely when Gohan removes his sunglasses and headcloth just before a fight.
These are joke scenes, and are funny if you can get good subs or if you understand Japanese, and Toriyama's signature styles. They lose quite a bit in translation, particularly in the asstastic translations FUNimation is prone to.
Edit: some spelling corrections.

Anime sucks.
Nope.
Ill-conceived and most likely ill-informed opinions like that one, however, do.
