9 minutes ahead.. either PST is off or HK is drifting further away from the PST zone...

Nope I meant that HK is drifting closer to the west coast of the US... strange phenom., that can cause a lot of confusion...

So how was your weekend guys? Good, bad, nay or yay?

Well most for most for you east coasters its ~9pm so i'm assuming dinner is done and over with. Time to settle down and prepare for teh bed for work tomorrow huh? And for ya west coasters its 6pm? Begining of prime time TV yeah? And dinner soon.

Well as you can see my weekend was a tad on the dull side of the fence. Me wants to hop over to the exciting side of the fence where the girls are teh hot and available...

granted i COULD give that girl a call BUT i'm too damn not bothered to do that right now. Might be a good idea seeing as i'm a tad on the dull side of the fence and she might spice things up a tad bit.

Well this post was on the bit tad boring huh?

Well fuck ya all then....

I can sum up my weekend in two words. Boring Shit. But, it was boring shit that I could do and not be at fucking work. That makes things all kinds of better.
Sadly, the vicious cycle of work/sleep/work begins anew tomorrow. Damn. The upside: I post more from work

Yeah i noticed that we post more during the workdays(weeks days) and less during the week ends... man i'm glad we're a group of people that have our priorities right. My dad would be so proud. He would always tell me to set my priorities straight. I think i'm doing a pretty job of it right now.

I wrecked a PS2 trying to solder a mod chip into it. Good thing it wasn't mine.

It was my 14-year-old cousin, who is now out $300. That'll teach him to ask me to help him. Ha!

Okay, I feel bad.

that does suck indeed. how could you possible screw that up unless you don't have much experience in soldering?
and where does the mod chip go? Chances are you probably didn't screw anything up but just did a messy soldering job which could be screwing with the board. Did you try cleaning up the work you did? Get a magnifying glass and take a closer look at what you did.
I've done mods to my macs a lot and i know from experience that it takes a really botched up job to really fuck a board up. Unless you short circuited the board or made a change that changed to voltage/current that may have fried some components.
I'm pretty sure you didn't fuck the PS2 up.
Again unless you really fucked up big time. Check again or take it to an experienced electrician. Might cost some money but nothing close to 300 dollars. Maybe 50 - 100, plus they might even get the mod chip installed for you too.

I had some really good soup today, it was a mix of hearty vegitables in a sort of thick and sweet tomato type paste.

it was delicious, but I ate it all.

The iron i have is pretty crappy and these were really small solder points. I was doing fine but i had a little too much solder on one point, and it the process of removing it, it took the solder holding these two tiny resistors with it. There was no way I was going to get the resistors back on. At least I think they were resistors. Someone with the right kind of precision equipment could replace them fairly easily, so they can fix it. In fact we're not even really sure it's broken, because he forgot the thing to plug it in to the tv. It turned on, and you could eject the cd tray. It's definitely missing those two resistors though.

My week-end was boring as shit.

One of the reasons is that I'm a boring fuck with just a few friends with whom I don't hang out with Saturdays.

I see no reason in hanging out with people who just drink alcohol, while I'm an anti-alcoholic.

Apart from that I hate week-ends on the Internet because noone posts.

And Duffman, next time just try using a PS2 boot cd, ok?

I attended a memorial service for my wife's cousin who died on 9/11.  It was a very, very moving service; I may be evil but I'm not cold-hearted.  He apparently touched many lives, because the church normally seats 1500 and it was reported that more than 2000 showed up.  Sadly, he's one of wife's many relatives that I haven't met more than once.

Sorry for being so glum.

This weekend I did very little, other than read, write, and study. Today, I'm doing even less.
