Lewis have you read "Neverwhere"? If you haven't, yeah, read that.

There's also a BBC miniseries that I've downloaded and watched. You definitely want to read the book first thought. I wouldn't call the mini series bad, but, well, I'm not sure how to explain it - but it follows the books exactly, which doesn't really work for TV conversion IMO.

I saw Neverwhere before I read it. I think I'd have preferred it the other way around, I missed a few of the nuances the first viewing.
