This thread is dedicated to stalking APK and posting links to his lunacy wherever it may occur.

Sadly, this classic:

I'm kind of glad that someone else is poking that particular hornet's nest these days... :omg:

Here's the really weird thing. When I load this page in Chrome, it goes through an endless loop of loading the article, loading the article with comments (they stay long enough for a page refresh, so I can see the last one was APK in October 2008), then refreshes and loads the article again without comments.

Crazy stuff. Mind you their comment system was always pretty broken but I think four years of APK is enough to send any piece of software into an endless loop of insanity.

This one is just surreal. It was a thread about Windows 7 launch parties, and APK was attacking everyone for not, um, something about replacing 127.0.0.1 with 0.0.0.0 in a hosts file, or something? And how his 0.0.0.0 was SO much better because it.. um.. saved SPACE in the hosts file! Yes, a whole two bytes of space!

I think my mind fell out reading that one.

Just 0, instead of 0.0.0.0 because in his own personal experience it reduces the size of his HOSTS file by 10MB.

I feel dirty for even knowing that, it means I read some of the thread.

Maybe he should invest in something called a "firewall" with strange technology known as "outbound filtering" so that he can excercise a "default deny" policy instead of trying to implement a default allow methodology WITH HIS FUCKING HOSTS FILE. Or he could use OpenDNS and tell that to block everything he shouldn't be browsing.

I only wish I knew.

Sadly he seems to have abandoned the /. thread.

You may be the first person in history to get APK to abandon a thread without a site operator having to ban him!

I always knew you had special powers...

Ok, I lol'd hard last night.

I was doing some research for a post on Ars and I came across some dude's blog. It had some useful information, but also some errors, so I posted a comment to correct him.

In response the owner of the blog did this:
Image

The site is back up now, unfortunately. At least he had the good grace to admit I was winning!

LOL that's pretty damn funny.

But also, are you surreptitiously bragging about how many apps and tabs you have open, or have you just not heard about the Windows 7 Snipping Tool yet?

Well the only thing I can add to this is: My tabs are bigger than yours!

EDIT: That screenshot is freaking hilarious Peter. I didn't think people could win an argument over the internet. You have proven that belief to be incorrect. You have special powers indeed!
