...Gave Maligren a new shiney pokey-stick.

Mal accidentily clicked on him while passing him by. The iguana said something like, "Thanks for taking care of some lich for me, you win a prize!".

"Uh, okay!" was the replay. Mal could have chosen a weapon, armor, ring, or something else and he opted for a weapon. Here's what he got:

Sword of Galdor:
Longsword
Attack Bonus +4
+4 Fire damage
Vorpal (DC - 14)

This thing forces the target to roll a reflex save on a critical hit, if they fail, they die due to decapitation. To bad it's appearance can't be altered.

Also, Maligren got his first level of Weaponmaster. "Ki-damage" looks broken as it does less damage than a typical hit does.

Mord has a bow from Galdor. It rocks as well.

The weapon he gives seems to depend on your class. I am curious as to what the range of weapons covers....even more curious as to what the other items might be :)....

hmmmmmm

.....me thinks evil thougts.

Seems I was wrong about different weapon deprnding on class, I was judt msking an inference basd on what AYB and Mord said.

Here are the choices:

Magical heavy armor - AC 7, AC +2, Con +1, Will save +5, fire resistance 15/-, regen +2

Magical longsword - what AYB posted

Magical longbow - attack +4, unlimited fire ammo, will saves +2, extra ranged damage piercing

Magical ring - cast lvl 10 fireball 1x per day, regen +1, trueseeing

Spoiler Warning....do not read below if you don't want to be soiled...er...spoiled...er...you know what I mean, hehe.

The choice of one is the reward for killing a lich in the swamp, but this is NOT the completion of the main quest. This, as far as I can tell, puts you about half way though it, maybe not quite that far. Completion of the main quest involves collecting a few keys items (that I will not mention here, becasue that would be spoiling too much...I didn't even look into those myself, casue I don't want to ruin the questing for myself either :D ) and a lich named Blackavar. That is all I am willing to delve into thus far...wouldn't want to ruin Mordock, but this much is at least revealed by the creator himself...I just verified it (inadvertantly) while lookinf for the above "Galdor" items.

Jeremy, I'm not even 100% sure its related to the main quest. After you cash in your reward with Galdor, he gives no other clues.

It is and it's not. The item he gives is designed to help you with the main quest, but other than that, it really is just something to increase your experience and power (in order to taek on the REAL danger). It does however time in with the theme of the main quest, which from what we have all seen obviously involves the eveil undead, and more specifically liches. That particualr lich is not the only named...I know of at least two more, and Galdor quite obviuosly isnt the only one giving clues, but trust me he has MUCH more to say on the matter and further rewards to give as well. :D

might try that myself...I remember picking up the quest but never completed it because I thought you had to kill the dragons and I did that thrice with no luck.
