You need a couple of boot disks. Do a search for "Openstep boot floppy" and follow the links. One is for booting, the other has various device drivers. You'll need both to install.
Other installation instructions include: you have to have your hard disk on the primary master IDE channel, and the CD-ROM you are installing from on the primary slave channel. Otherwise, it won't install.

Whoa, hold on! Just fount the ftp site. Sweet! Wgetting the drivers and floppies right now.
I just picked up a Tyan Tsunai AT w/Celeron 466, ATX case (w/ATX PSU and hacked up in the back to fit the extra slot), floppy, and CD-ROM for $25. Figure that will give me something on which to install things which don't like AMD and/or Via.
Now where, oh where can I get Rhapsody DP2 for x86?

Steve Jobs' plan was basically to throw away "Classic" and replace it with Rhapsody, which would only have the Cocoa (aka NeXTstep) API, and all old Mac apps would just run in a penalty box.
There were two developer preview releases of Rhapsody, DP1 (buggy, hardly any good) and DP2 (not bad according to sources) But the interesting thing was this: both developer releases were available on Intel as well as MacPPC.
They were pretty much NeXTstep with a Mac "theme" (not all windows had the theme, for example the device manager is STRAIGHT out of NeXTstep), ie, single menubar, pinstripes, "Platinum" OS8-style appearance, etc.
I'm looking for a copy right now. :)
