It's all about the anarchy... forget the silliness of "lock this thread!" and "in before the lock!" and such... I think OSY has proven that you can have a good, fun, relaxed forum WITHOUT moderation.

I never liked moderation on Usenet back in the day-- I always avoided the moderated groups. The anarchy of the alt.hierarchy attracted me in its sheer silliness.

This is more fun, though.
