Ugh... I hate this stupid job.

I started in July 17th, two years ago and I'm ENDING on that day.

My direct supervisor has been getting nasty with me lately. Insinuating that I don't do anything.

I of course, can't do anything wiout the actual SQL PROGRAM, which I uninstalled at the behest of the IT dept, when they told me that they have the app., even though they actually didn't.

Guess what? Now the woman is harassing me, trying to "find the original copy because their budget can't afford a new one".

Uhm, I DON'T HAVE it. She just grilled me for an hour. I seriously think she thinks I have it.

I'm sick of this shit. The extra 15k a year isn't worth this crap.

I'll quit soon, let them fuck themselves and focus on studying for the LSAT/law enterance exams.

Screw it. Technical idiots.

They don't even know what SQL 7 Server is and they're trying to make ridiculous assertions like "you don't need it" OR "can't you copy it off the insallation of someone else's machine?" or the like.

It's bull. I'm sick of it.

remind them, that as IT personell they are responsible for any and all software as far as keeping track of installation cd's, licensing, etc.

If it's not there, *they* are responsible despite whom actually lost it.

You are just stuck in the blame game

What is the nature of your supervisors training, education, or experience.  He sounds like BBA or MBA

BBA. Ruthless senior citizen. Piddly little cashier sub-manager but she gets a power trip off bossing me around. She used to be really nice to me but ever since I publically dispelled some slander she was pinning on our site(to look knowledgeable, I guess), she's been ruthless with me. I don't care.

She just told me that if my last attempt at contacting an employee in the paper doesn't pan out that we're screwed because she won't buy us a new copy. She says there's no money.

She doesn't seem to understand that I CAN'T DO THE JOB WITHOUT THAT SOFTWARE.

Whatever, I'm getting sick of this shit. Really.

I would have liked to stay the full two years.

I mean, I can fib on my resume and intimate that I started before the first week of July but, damn, it'd be nice if I could last out another 7 weeks.

You could always warez the SQL software... after all, that's what they do in Peru!  <sorry>

No, but seriously, if it was there on your HD before, and they don't have a copy now, it was likely warezed to begin with, so you're hardly breaking new ground.
