My friends who have Dell laptops (mostly Inspiron series) love 'em. Hope you have as good an experience with them.

If not, maybe they can get a new CRT iMac with a 700mhz G3 and 256 mb of RAM because our Blueberry iMacs(400/64) are getting a little long in the tooth after four years and, while they still work devinely, they can't really cut it with the specs they have(not that a Wintel would cut it with 64 mb either).

Big bulky things, and they make this ENORMOUS beep when they boot up, whereas my little iceBook just has that calming "bauumm" Mac warmup sound (not that I ever reboot it, since sleep works so well)
I also don't like the trackpads, they are all slippery compared to my iBook.
HAHA that's funny I'm arguing that a Mac is better than Madan's PC, that's too rich.
DUDE, YOU'RE GETTING A DELL!!!!!11

It's a Latitude. HUGE monstrosity. Feels like it weighs close to 10 lbs. C160.
It has a gig mobile PIII.
128mb of RAM
ATI mobility 128 16mb.
DEFinitely *NOT* better than my Compaq.
Plus, it has no sofware on it(not really a problem since I have Office 2k and Photoshop...etc.)
USBx2, 24xCD...
Not a powerhouse by *any* stretch of the imagination. My iMac feels *faster*.
Only good news is that it has Win 2k Professional preinstalled. No 9x.
*shrug* It's so heavy.
Blah.
I would rather have an iBook too...
