I havent listened to music in a while. I think I shall dust off the old hard drives with Mp3s on them.

Sun Mar 10 01:43:49 2002

Upon booting up harddrives with Mp3s (surprisingly they worked) I have found a good song. Nickelback - Just For. I like it much more than the singles they've put out.

HitScan with the Type O inclusion!  Beat me to it. ;)  I was considering "Unsuccessfully Coping with the Natural Beauty of Infidelity" -- known to the masses as, "I know you're fucking someone else."  Always great in concert.

A few songs/bands mentioned here are ones I can't stand listening to any more, because they are wretchedly overplayed on the local 'modern rock' station.  But said MR station has recently begun playing Metallica of all things, and it's become really very annoying.  The same 8 or so songs repeated ad nauseum... I'll probably have an extended rant about it here someday soon.

i think magus has ya beat!!!

communication breakdown... yes yes yes!!!!!!!

there are quite a few Led Zepp songs that can whoop ass.

a few aerosmith songs that are good but me is talking from teh old albums not teh new ones which all sound the same to me.

Janie's got a gun, so ya better watch out cause she kinda mad that her daddy was a dude that looks like a lady. Quite amazing really seeing as i would have been cryin had my daddy been only a blind man. On the other side where we eat the rich 'cause we ain't no angel and like livin' on the edge a rag doll is what it takes to have big ones. ;)

Alice In Chains, YES!!!!! like the three legged dog? scares the fuck out of me well anytime i see a man in the box i think of my drug of choice, sea of sorrow. Then god smacks me and bleed the freak though i can't much remember because of the confusion. So i grind at the sludge factory and again the shame in you as i play the nothin song i hate to feel down in a hole in my angry chair.
Would? Damn that river buries them bones under some dirt. Rain when I die and in a jar of flies i find rotten apples. No excuses so don't follow you fucking hear me because in a nutshell i hear whale and wasp but i stay away and swing on this, this am i inside and got me wrong.

Tori Amos she smells like team spritit well her piano crucified my soul and left me in the dead of winter where blood roses bleed for the boys of pele. But in the springtime of his voodoo in the twilight caught like a sneeze i offered some cornflake girls to a tarantula in little amsterdam...

Bob Marely, I once asked, 'is this love'? and to which he replied, 'no woman no cry.' I asked 'could you be loved' as three little birds and a buffalo soilder. Get up stand up he yelled and said I shot the sherrif and I sait now don't be stirring it up. Sing a redemption song may it satisfy your soul, one love, people get ready.

May his beautiful soul rest in peace.

Def Leppard. Eagles. Jimi Hendrix.
Desree (i've seen her live, beautiful women and great singer.)
Guns'N'Roses and Metallica. God the good ol' days of hard rock and metal in high school.

You little pricks with your retarded limp bizket and korn, the wanna be punks who think with 7 string guitars and gutural voices means it's heavy music don't know what true heavy music is about.

Janet Jackson. the 90's were good for her.

Outcast. Clever. Intelligent. Funny. Good.
Need more be said?

Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Fucking owns half the music you guys listen too. Anyone that is a guitar player in the 90's and the the new century but doesn't listen to vai or satriani is not worth half the strings on their guitars. Any one that does has a little more self respect.

Off course, speaking of influence, Eddie Van Halen.

FUCKING A!!!!

If it wasn't for van halen so much of the music in the 90's would be non fucking existent...

eric clapton... <snicker> allowed white boys to feel like they can play the blues... lets get one thing straight. Eric Clapton is good but not a god as once was claimed.

However we also owe a lot to the greats like John Lee Hooker. I'll raise one burbon, one scotch and one beer to the old soul. So think twice before you go cause if i'm in the mood i'm bad like jessie james and no body would know but it serves you right to suffer. So go back to your sugar mama and shake it baby.

Oh and please don't bring in Elvis. Elvis is the king for old fat white americans.... :p

OscarWilde

Mon Mar 11 12:16:43 2002

But lets get a little eclectic for ya western bastards.

Luna Sea, been around for ~10 years. Great Japanesse band. The genre is image x. Their music is fucking art. Its something that has been lacking in american music for the last few years.

Le'Arc'Ineal (spelling?) another good japanesse band.

Vanessa Mae. Great violin player and should have stuck as a violin  player. Singing ain't her bag, though she is quite certainly my bag.

Ayumi Hamasaki... interesting songs/lyrics. She is the Emperess(sp?) of Japan. She is quite the phenomenon meanwhile achieving it with talent and not with silcon implants and skin like, um, some of the american and australian supposed pop divas....

Elva. Well i don't like her music but SHE IS FUCKING HOT.

I assume you mean the Just Push Play album? Yeah, it's weaker than most of theirs, but 'Jaded' is fairly good.

Thank you magus. I was just in one of those nirvanesque moods yesterday. Playing my guitar and thinking of 'dark' lyrics, or at least twisted ones with odd imagery.

Anyway, Alice in Chains is a great band. I like how every album had a different mood and style to it while retaining the Alice in Chains feel.

"Underneath Your Clothes"

You're a song
Written by
The hands of God
Don't get me wrong
This might sound
To you a bit odd
But you're the place
Where all my thoughts
Go hiding
Right under your clothes
Is where I'll find them

Underneath your clothes
There's an endless story
There's the man I chose
There's my territory
And of all the things
I deserve
For being such
A good girl honey

Because of you
I forgot the
Smart ways to rhyme
Because of you
I'm running out of
Reasons to cry
When the friends are gone
When the party's over
We'll still belong
To each other

Underneath your clothes
There's an endless story
There's the man I chose
There's my territory
And of all the things
I deserve
For being such
A good girl honey

[code]SHAKIRA LYRICS

"Whenever, Wherever"

Lucky you were born that far away so
We could both make fun of distance
Luck that I love a foreign land for
The lucky fact of your existance

Baby I would climb the Andes solely
To count the freckles on your body
Never could imagine there were only
Ten Million ways to love somebody

Le do le le le le, Le do le le le le
Can't you see
I'm at your feet

Whenever, wherever
We're meant to be together
I'll be there and you'll be near
And that's the deal my dear

Thereover, hereunder
You'll never have to wonder
We can always play by ear
But that's the deal my dear

Lucky that my lips not only mumble
They spill kisses like a fountain
Lucky that my breasts are small and humble
So you don't confuse them with mountains
Lucky I have strong legs like my mother
To run for cover when I need it
And these two eyes that for no other
The day you leave will cry a river

Le do le le le le, Le do le le le le
Can't you see
I'm at your feet

Whenever, wherever
We're meant to be together
I'll be there and you'll be near
And that's the deal my dear

Thereover, hereunder
You'll never have to wonder
We can always play by ear
But that's the deal my dear

Le do le le le le, Le do le le le le
Think out loud
Say it again

Le do le le le le
Tell me one more time
That you'll live
Lost in my eyes

Whenever, wherever
We're meant to be together
I'll be there and you'll be near
And that's the deal my dear

Thereover, hereunder
You've got me head over heals
There's nothing left to fear
If you really feel the way I feel
