My Compaq.

You know, the one with the failed PSU?

It just....started. I hit the pb and it started. I hadn't shifted the machine or cracked it since two days ago but for *some* reason* the PSU revived itself.

Gotta love PC quality...

Well, at least it works.

Compaq is not the epitome of quality.

Neither is Apple for that matter.

AYB is the epitome of quality.

Happy to hear your PC works once again (have you got TOB expansion???)

Where i work people have the problem of their floppys getting stuck in their compaq's floppy drive. This is not a good thing when people are dumb enough to keep all their important documents ONLY ON A SINGLE FLOPPY DISK!

I see that all the time in the campus labs, Duffman, and then it's somehow the on duty Lab Assistant's fault that the disk fscked up.

Yes but that even makes more sense, because students move arround from computer to computer. This person uses one computer in one location.

Here's an annoying little tidbit. The compaqs of a certain period had a design flaw that caused the button that ejects the floppy to break. Unlike most computers the floppy button is connected to the case, not the drive itself. Therefore when this flaw occurs, as it does quite often, we have to send in the whole computer to get the damn thing fixed.
