Second, am I supposed to be insulted by it?
Third, am I supposed to care about the film just because it's a cult movie? I prefer to care about films on their own merits.

Bladerunner is a great flick, not as good as the book, but it really adds in a much more trippy feel than the book did.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. Don't see anything except for the directors cut, the standard version has many holes in it, that are filled by the directors cut.
It is a great movie.
