Book of Days

AllYorBaseRBelong2Us

Tue Oct 2 05:21:25 2001

One day, one night, one moment,
my dreams could be, tomorrow.
One step, one fall, one falter,
east or west, over earth or by ocean.
One way to be my journey,
this way could be my Book of Days.

Ó lá go lá, mo thuras,
an bealach fada romham.
Ó oíche go hoíche, mo thuras,
na scéalta nach mbeidh a choích.

No day, no night, no moment,
can hold me back from trying.
I'll flag, I'll fall, I'll falter,
I'll find my day may be, Far and Away.
Far and Away.

One day, one night, one moment,
with a dream to believe in.
One step, one fall, one falter,
and a new earth across a wide ocean.
This way became my journey,
this day ends together, Far and Away.

This day ends together, Far and Away.
Far and Away.

Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

And who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...

(chants)

Who can say why your heart sighs,
As your love flies?
Only time...

And who can say why your heart cries,
When your love dies?
Only time...

(chants)

Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be,
In your heart.

And who can say when the day sleeps,
the moon still keeps on moving
If the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart...

(extended chants)

Who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...

And who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

Who knows?
Only time...

Who knows?
Only time...

...Eurus...
...Afer Ventus...
...so the world goes round and round
with all you ever knew
They say the sky high above
is Caribbean blue...
...if every man says all he can,
if every man is true,
do I believe the sky above
is Caribbean blue...

...Boreas...
...Zephryus...

...if all you told was turned to gold,
if all you dreamed were new,
imagine sky high above
in Caribbean blue...

...Eurus...
Afer Ventus...
...Boreas
Zephryus...
...Africus...

I wish that instead of being bought by HP, that Compaq was bought by Fujitsu. Why?

Because then they would be Fuj-paq, which would be a great name.

C'mon AYB, you gotta be at least middle age and drive a VW Rabbit before you can start listening to new age.

You're too young.

What can I say, I'm a prodigy.

I shall run a case of alzheimers soon enough too. :)

Okay, now that i know who she is.
HA HA HA!!!!

if you're going to talk about beautiful voices, Sarah Brightman.
At least she doesn't need synthesisers(sp?) to back up her voice. How many pedals was Enya singing through? Chorus? Harmonic? Ack! I don't like people shoving their voices, or at least the whole fucking sond down electronic pedals. Thats reserved for guitars and maybe keyboards.

AYB my man, no offense but you want stuff like this but with a talent behind it, Sarah Brightman is the popular choice. She's got a voice, probably because she actually has to sing for a living.

Enya sucks.

And what language is this meant to be?:

Ó lá go lá, mo thuras,
an bealach fada romham.
Ó oíche go hoíche, mo thuras,
na scéalta nach mbeidh a choích.

And Bjork and that vocalist from Lamb and Dido have better voices.

But that's just part of why I like the sound of enya.  To me, the way she does it sounds natural.  it essentially is a large part of what "New Age" is.

Where's the lack of talent?  It's like arguing that Miles Davis, Joe Satriani, or John Coltrane had no talent due to the instrument they chose.

In this respect, you are confusing a singer-songwriter of original talent with pre-fabricated "Boybands".

You are dismissing her simply for her style.

vc:

Enya (ro)cks.

I agree :)

And what language is this meant to be?:

Prolly some native American by the sound of it.

I will say this, in the realm of New Age, Enya is probably the best.

However, I like music that convey a more dynamic range of emotion. "Relaxation" is not a very interesting emotion.

"Relaxation" is not a very interesting emotion.

Wait until you are old and sitting in a rockingchair on your front porch in a small hick-town in South Dakota yelling at playfull children and calling them "whiper-snappers!".

Then you shall enjoy relaxation more.

I'd have to say Gaelic, as IIRC Enya is Irish.
